SAF Student Liaison Officers

An essential part of the SAF program is the provision of support services for participants and this responsibility comes under the purview of the SAF Headquarters in Indianapolis.  In recognition of physical distances and time zone issues of SAF students studying in Europe or Australasia, SAF has hired local Student Liaison Officers (SLOs) who assist students in adjusting to their new environment and provide SAF HQ and participants with immediate assistance in case of an emergency.  SLOs work for SAF on a part-time basis and they have been selected for their multilingual skills and previous study abroad experience.
