SAF Mainland China Staff

Director(Beijing)
Daniel Shen joined SAF in September 2009 as Director of the SAF China Office. Daniel was Assistant Dean at the School of Software Engineering at Beijing Jiao Tong University where he was responsible for the School’s international affairs office. Simultaneously, he was Assistant Director at the Office of National Software Engineering Schools at the Ministry of Education, China. Previously Daniel held positions in business in Australia and is an Australian citizen. Daniel's undergraduate degree is from Beijing Information and Technology University in telecommunications. His masters degree from the University of New South Wales, Australia is in computer science.

Associate Director(Shanghai)
Tracey Tao joined SAF as manager in December 2008. Tracey holds a Master Degree in Education from the University of Melbourne and a Graduate Diploma in Software Development from RMIT University. She is also a graduate of Xuzhou Normal University in China. Prior to joining SAF, Tracey was a project manager of academic partnership projects at EF China. Tracey underwent three years teaching experience as a subject tutor at the University of Melbourne before she returned to China in 2007. Currently, Tracey is serving as the vice president of the Melbourne University Alumni Association Shanghai and committee member of the Shanghai Overseas Returned Scholars Association Shanghai.

Manager(Guangzhou)
Zoe Wang joined SAF as a project manager in Guangzhou in October 2011. She obtained Bachelor of Arts (majoring in English) from Hunan Central South Forest and Technology University. Prior to joining in SAF, she was responsible for student counseling and US visa application training in Tianjin Kailewei Study Abroad Service Center.

Manager(Beijing)
Trina Li joined SAF as counselor in March 2010 and was promoted to Senior Program Officer in August 2011. She completed her undergraduate degree at Heilongjiang University of Science & Technology and majored in English. Prior to joining SAF, she worked for Beijing Neworld Corporation, a foreign language training center, and has two years education consulting experience.

Coordinator(Shanghai)
Tina Shen joined SAF as coordinator in November 2008. She was a graduate from Shanghai University. Prior to joining SAF, Tina worked as advertising customer service officer in Toray Audio-visual Production Co. Ltd Shanghai from September 2005 to October 2008.

Program Officer(Shanghai)
Chris Shi jointed SAF as program officer in August 2011. He obtained his Master of International Business and Bachelor of Business Economics degree from La Trobe University, Melbourne. Prior to his study in Australia he also received a Diploma at East China Normal University where he specialized in business.

Program Coordinator(Shanghai)
Jessie Jiang joined SAF as program officer in August 2011. She graduated from Shanghai Normal University where she majored in Tourism Management. She completed a one semester study abroad program to the United States during her undergraduate study. Before joining SAF, she worked at the Neworld English Training Centre as a part-time English tutor for two years.

Program Coordinator(Beijing)
Helen Zhang began working with SAF from October 2011. She graduated from Rochester Institute Technology with a degree of Master of Science in Service Management. As an intern, Helen was an Assistant Meeting Planner for the Corporate Education and Training Center of RIT, and was responsible for meeting logistics and program activity planning. Before she came to SAF, Helen was working with Continental Airlines GSA as Assistant GM, China Sales Manager, and through her working experience in the airline industry and travel sector, Helen has obtained strong sales, marketing and business development skills.

Program Coordinator(Beijing)
Richard Yang joined SAF as a program officer in October 2011. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree from the Inner Mongolia University of Technology. During his college career, he was interested in participating in the World Connection Program which facilitates language and cultural exchange between international students and American students. After completing his undergraduate study, he experienced a three-month study in Hawaii. Prior to joining SAF, he worked for one year at Beijing Prepare Education & Consulting Corporation which served to prepare students for study in American Universities.

Program Coordinator(Guangzhou)
Vin Su has worked in SAF as a program officer since 2011. He graduated with a Bachelor's Degree from Okanagan College in Kelowna, Canada in 2009, where he majored in Business Administration. Prior to joining SAF, he worked in two counseling companies related to study abroad as a counselor with the responsibility of providing students with study plans and student services.

Program Officer(Beijing)
Aimee Qiao joined SAF as a program officer in April 2012. Aimee is a graduate of the University of International Business and Economics where she majored in Russian. Before joining SAF, Aimee worked in an international educational counseling company related to visiting study programs. Her duties included providing students with support with their applications for study at the University of California Riverside; in addition, she was also in charge of daily contacts with domestic partner universities.
